Planet Rating’s multilingual team (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic) is made up of more than fifteen permanent analysts, based in Paris and in our local offices in Senegal, Peru, Kenya, Lebanon and the Philippines.


Emmanuelle Javoy
Managing Director
Emmanuelle Javoy became Managing Director of Planet Rating in February 2008 after joining the Planet Rating team in May 2003 as Senior Analyst and being its Technical Director for several years. She has already carried out more than fifty missions, in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia. As a member of Planet Rating’s supervisory board, Emmanuelle chairs number of rating committees. Emmanuelle also participated in many international microfinance conferences over the years, as a guest speaker or to provide specific trainings on Planet Rating’s GIRAFE methodology. Her focus since 2004 has been on the development of new rating services such as interactive assessments and social performance ratings. Before joining Planet Rating, Emmanuelle worked as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. She graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris.


Otto Wormgoor
Operations Manager
Otto Wormgoor joined Planet Rating in November 2006 as the Office Director for East & Southern Africa based in Kampala, Uganda. As of June 2008, he became the Operations Manager based in Paris and is now responsible for the management of Planet Rating’s network of offices worldwide. Otto has conducted over 40 rating missions in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. Before joining Planet Rating he worked for ICCO, one of the four main co-financing agencies in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for the microfinance program of ICCO in the Philippines. Otto Wormgoor holds an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Twente, Netherlands and a Masters in Advanced Development Studies from the Centre for International Development Issues Nijmegen, Netherlands.


Nadine Chehade
Business Development Manager, MENA & Caucasus Director

Nadine Chehade is in charge of overseeing the development process of new products and services offered by Planet Rating. She joined the team in 2006 to set up the Beirut office from where she covered the MENA and Caucasus regions. She has conducted over forty mission worldwide and has participated as a guest speaker in several regional and international conferences. She started her career in Investment Banking with ABN Amro, before working as a strategy and management consultant for four years, conducting projects for various industries and clients, first with Accenture and then with Kea&Partners, a company spun off CapGemini. Nadine is fluent in Arabic, English, French, conversational in Spanish, and holds an M.B.A. from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC), France. She delivers lectures and Masters classes at the University of Paris X - Dauphine, University of Nancy II (France), and Regent’s College (UK).


Pauline Hérisson
Chief Financial Officer

Pauline joined Planet Rating’s team in July 2010 as CFO. Before joining Planet Rating, Pauline worked as an external auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers; her main clients were banks and investment funds. She then left to the Netherlands for the French bank BNP Paribas as credit analyst. Back in France, Pauline worked in a water and wastewater company as responsible of the International Financial Control and in financial engineering. Pauline holds a bachelor in Economics and graduated from Audencia Nantes’ business school.


César Carcelén Romero
Latin America Office Director

César joined Planet Rating in May 2008 as an analyst for Latin America and was appointed as Latin America Office Director in September 2010. Prior to joining Planet Rating, César worked over five years in KPMG as supervisor in advisory area. He was in charge of many clients in South America and the Caribbean, and has extensive experience in processes assessment, risk and control management, financial statements assessment and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). César graduated with a diploma in Business Administration and Public Accounting from the University of Piura (Peru). He has conducted more than 20 rating missions in Central and South Africa.


Ingrid Smit
Sub-Saharan Africa Director

Ingrid joined Planet Rating in April 2010 after a number of years in the microfinance sector. She notably worked as Capacity Building Coordinator at MYC4 (Kenya); as Consultant for Shell Foundation for investment funds active in Sub-Saharan Africa; as Interim Financial Coordinator and Responsible for Partnerships and Communication at MFI Enda Inter-arabe (Tunisia) and at Oxfam Novib as Investment and Microinsurance Officer where she invested in MFIs in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Before that, she worked as Syndications Officer at FMO). Ingrid has a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam.


Edouard Sers
Expert Analyst – Europe and Central Asia

Edouard Sers joined the Planet Rating team in July 2006 and is in charge with Planet Ratings’ activities in Eastern Europe & Central Asia and with our Social Performance rating service. Edouard started his career in the Moroccan microfinance industry with the social performance evaluations of four microfinance institutions. As a former external Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the banking industry, Edouard masters financial analysis and audit techniques. He already conducted more than 25 GIRAFE and Social Performance rating missions in Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Africa, and Asia. Edouard is a graduate of the E.M.Lyon business school.


Brigite Narciso
Senior Analyst

Brigite joined Planet rating in January 2008 as an analyst and now Senior Analyst for Latin America. She previously worked as a risk analyst for three years in the microfinance investment fund Cyrano Management based in Lima. Brigite holds a bachelor in accounting from Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru). She conducted more than 25 rating missions in Latin America, Africa, Eastern and Western Europe.


Lucie Charrier
Africa Senior Analyst

Lucie joined Planet Rating in 2008 in our Dakar office. Before joining Planet Rating, Lucie worked as a consultant for CSC, where she developed organizational and performance evaluation tools for private companies and government agencies. Before being a consultant, Lucie worked as an intern at AFD (French Development Agency) in Johannesburg and at Max Havelaar France in the fair trade sector. Lucie graduated from EDHEC Business School and holds a Master in Development and International Cooperation from the Sorbonne University.


Analí Oda Salcedo
Analyst
Analí joined Planet Rating in march 2010 as an analyst for Latin America. She previously worked for three years in the international audit firm RSM, as an accounting and fiscal analyst, providing services to various Peruvian companies. Analí also worked in Management & Investment Services doing corporate valuation and project evaluation. Analí graduated in Economy in Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Lima, Peru) and is currently studying a master’s degree in Finance at Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru).


Khaled Lahlo
Analyst
Khaled recently joined Planet Rating in 2010 after having worked for several years in multilateral organizations as an economist and business development manager. Khaled worked as Council Manager at the World Economic Forum leading Cross-Industry projects. He also worked for several years at the World Bank Group where he designed the first Corporate and Social Responsibility course in French, conducted several country studies and sector strategies analysis, and monitored the implementation of more than 15 projects in the Middle East. Prior to this, Khaled had worked as a credit analysts at HSBC and as a commercial attaché at the French Embassy in Washington D.C.. Khaled holds a BA in Finance as well as a master’s degree in International Business from Paris Dauphine University, and a MBA from INSEAD (France).


Laurent Chauvet
Analyst
Laurent joined Planet Rating in May 2010 as social performance assistant for Latin America in Lima. He is now analyst in Paris Head Office since November 2010. Before joining Planet Rating, Laurent worked for various NGOs, notably as administrative coordinator for AMI (“Aide Médicale internationale”) in Soudan where he was in charge of financial, administrative and human resources aspects. Laurent had a previous experience in the microfinance sector in 2007 as he managed a fair trade project for FINCA Peru MFI. Laurent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with major in Entrepreneurship and Project Management form Paris Dauphine University and a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development, with a specialization in Risk management in developing countries, from the Institut d’Etudes politiques of Bordeaux.

 
Sophia Skrzypec
Analyst
Sophia joined Planet Rating in 2011 as an analyst for West and Central Africa. She has since conducted missions in Eastern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining Planet Rating, Sophia successively worked as a Financial Controller within the Finance & Planning department at IBM (France), as a Liquidity Risk Analyst at Dexia Bank (Belgium), then in the Performance Management entity of BNP Paribas Fortis (Belgium), and in Business Development for Maltem Consulting, a firm specialized in financial markets. Sophia graduated from ICN Business School Nancy (France) and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish, and conversational in Wolof.

 

Eo Masliungan
Analyst
Eo joined Planet Rating’s team in 2010. Prior to joining Planet Rating, he worked as a Research Manager with the Microfinance Management Program Office of the Asian Institute of Management. He then joined the USAID-funded Microenterprise Access to Banking Services Program as a Research and Monitoring Coordinator. Eo also had short-term microfinance research projects with the World Bank, the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor, SEEP Network, ACCION International, Citibank, and the Microfinance Council of the Philippines. He was involved in research projects in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos PDR, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. Eo holds a Masters Degree in Development Management from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos.
