Planet Rating’s multilingual team (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic) is made up of more than fifteen permanent analysts, based in Paris and in our local offices in Senegal, Peru, Uganda and Lebanon. The team is supported by the Supervisory Board headed by Jacques Attali, former adviser to François Mitterrand, and of which COFACE is a member.
Emmanuelle Javoy became Managing Director of Planet Rating in February 2008 after joining the Planet Rating team in May 2003 as Senior Analyst and subsequently Technical & Quality Director. She has already carried out more than forty missions, in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. She has revised Planet Rating’s analytical tools and is in charge of the training process for new analysts. Her focus since 2004 has been on the development of new rating services such as “diagnostic” missions for Smaller Moroccan MFIs, “diagnostic” mission for CFPA in China, social performance evaluation based on the tool by “CERISE”, rating methodology for French MFIs that include social performance indicators. She participates in the sector’s efforts for the standardization of financial terms by representing Planet Rating in the African Forum for Evaluation. Before joining Planet Rating, Emmanuelle worked as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. She graduated from Ecole Superieur de Commerce de Paris.
Otto Wormgoor joined Planet Rating recently in November 2006 and heads our office in Kampala, Uganda. Prior to joining Planet Rating he worked for ICCO, one of the four main co-financing agencies in the Netherlands. After working for one year at ICCO's policy desk in the research and evaluation unit Otto was responsible for the microfinance programme of ICCO in the Philippines for the past two years. This involved working (funding relationships) with national networks. Since the inception of MicroNed in January 2006 he was also responsible for the donor coordination of the microfinance programmes of Cordaid, ICCO, OxfamNovib and Rabobank Foundation in the Philippines. Otto Wormgoor holds a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Twente, Netherlands and a Masters in Advanced Development Studies from the Centre for International Development Issues Nijmegen, Netherlands. In 2005 he participated in the Boulder Microfinance Training Programme, hosted by ILO in Turin, Italy.
Aboubacrine started his banking career at the Bank of Credit and Commerce International in both Pakistan and Senegal where he held various credit lending and loan recovery positions between 1991 and 1995. He then moved on to the Senegal Social Security Administration as a Financial Controller from Jan. 1997 to Dec. 1998. In 1999, he joined the Compagnie de Gestion Financière et de Bourse (stock brokerage and trader) where he headed the Back Office operations and internal control. In 2004, he joined the Banque Sahélo Saharienne pour l’Investissement et le Commerce SA as Head of Credit prior to joining Planet Rating. He holds a Master of Science in Banking & Finance (Risk Specialization) from CASS Business School, City University, London, UK and a MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi University, Pakistan.
Nadine Chehade joined the Planet Rating team in May 2006 and heads the Beirut office from where she covers the MENA region. She has conducted over 15 missions in the region (Jordan, Egypt, Morocco) as well as in Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia. She started her career in Investment Banking, before working as a strategy and management consultant for 4 years, conducting projects throughout France and Europe, first with Accenture (Financial Services) and then with Kea&Partners, French company spun off from CapGemini. In 2005, she worked as a consultant for ILDES, a Lebanese NGO with a microfinance program. Nadine is fluent in Arabic, English and French, and holds an M.B.A. from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC).
Ramon joined Planet Rating in June 2006 as Senior Analyst. Prior to Planet Rating, he worked as Senior Analyst in the Risk Department of Interbank– Peru’s fourth largest bank. Ramon has nine years of risk analysis experience in corporate banking and commercial banking with microfinance institutions and, medium-size enterprises. Ramón has conducted rating missions in many countries in Central and South America since joining Planet Rating.
